YeAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Singapore is now officially enjoying 42 years of peace and harmony!!!!!

Afternoon i went to fo tang, cuz got religion things... Then, I rushed back home to bathe and change clothes... OMG! It was SO HOT!!! I kept perspiring after I finished bathing...

Took a bit of dinner before I rushed out of house. Panting and sweating like a PIG... ARGH!! I hate this kinda weather...

Seriously, when I arrived at City Hall, it was bloody JAMMED PACKED WITH PEOPLE! But luckily my friends meet up at Plaza Singapura.

Then, we took a bus to Suntec and did some shopping there. Because the main focus on the night was the Fireworks, so there wasn't much people doing shopping. HAHA! So nice... We had a great time window shopping.

Here's a short clip of the fireworks:

Then, after which it's the start of the HUMAN JAM again!!! So we decided to walk to Bugis and take a bus from there to Hougang.

Here's a photo we took while walking:

Hmmmm....what's that over there?!

Taken on the bus:

We were like SO BOREDdd on the bus that we started to take alot of funny photos haha! But here are some better ones...

Brand new PSP

Yes you heard it! The rumors are true, the speculations are accurate & the truth is about to be unveiled!

BRAND NEW PSP is coming to Town guys!!!

The white PSP [left] is the slimmer, newer & better PSP, compare to the black PSP [right]

Sony finally announced the long-rumored redesigned Sony PSP during its E3 2007 press conference. A recent patent update sparked speculation that the new PSP would have a swivel screen and mobile phone capabilities, but Sony Computer Entertainment president Kaz Hirai revealed a more modest PSP redesign at E3. The new “enhanced-design” PSP is a smaller and slimmer version of the original, with a third less weight and about four-fifths the thickness. Sony plans to phase out the current PSP design and replace it with the new model by September.

The new weight is immediately noticeable as soon as you hold the PSP in your hand. It's so light that you might think that it's missing a battery or doesn't have a UMD inside. Sony was able to slim down the battery size while maintaining the system's 5-hour battery life by decreasing the power draw of the unit. You'll be able to use old batteries from the original PSP to double playing time, but the standard battery cover won't be able to fit over it. Sony will offer a high-capacity power kit that will come with its own PSP cover to fit over the larger battery.

The difference is really slight, but several GameSpot editors have noticed that the d-pad and buttons on the new PSP provide a little more tactile feedback for a better overall feel. Other changes we noticed include a spring-less UMD retention mechanism and new speaker holes just above the d-pad and button areas. The remote jack has changed--headphones will still work with the regular headphone output, but new systems will ship with a new headphone/remote unit to fit the new remote jack. The memory stick slot remains on the left side--shifted over a bit, but the Wi-Fi switch has moved from the left side of the system all the way to the top of the unit where it's far more difficult to hit accidentally.

The 4.3-inch display remains the same, but the new unit will now include a video output that will let the PSP to output gameplay, movies, and photos to a TV display. The component cable we saw also had audio connectors to offer complete AV connectivity. The actual composite, s-video, component, and D-Terminal (Japan) cables will be sold separately, price TBD. The PSP we tested was able to play back a Spider-Man 2 movie clip at 640x480. The video on the big screen looked sharp with minimal loss.

Sony has doubled the built-in memory from 32MB to 64MB, and the new PSP will also be able to speed up game load times by storing UMD data in temporary memory. The new PSP will also be able to recharge over the USB data connection.

The redesigned Piano Black PSP will make its way into the basic $169 Core pack this September. Sony will offer a $199 Ice Silver PSP in a new Daxter Entertainment Pack that includes Daxter, Family Guy, The Freakin' Sweet Collection on UMD, and a 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. Star Wars fans can wait an extra month to pick up a Star Wars Battlefront PSP Entertainment Pack on October, 9th. The limited edition package includes a copy of Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron and a ceramic-white PSP with an image of Darth Vader silk-screened on the back battery cover. Sony currently has no plans to release a ceramic white unit after the Star Wars edition sells out, but that can always change.

So free!!!

haha!!! This week really just breezed by lor...Nothing to do in Office, PLAY GAME HAHA!!! Lucky i got my PSP to company me...

Tuesday night had a really nice and long chat with Chin Mei. Found that both me and her have many things in common haha!!! And she's a very mature and independent girl, thought she's only 20...

She will give guys a feeling to protect her. But anyway, we're just friends now... Whatever might happen in future I leave it to Fate and Cupid to decide... haha!!!

NDP coming soon!! WISHES ALL SINGAPOREANS a HAPPY 42nd NATIONAL DAY!!!

Journey to the [WEST]

Woke up a bit early today around 9:30am. Because I'm going on a Journey to the [WEST] Yeah! I'm heading down to Little India, with Hui, to explore that little town filled with mysteries and wonders.

I was so unlucky when I left my house, missed Bus 293 then at the Interchange missed Bus 72. Argh!! So unlucky! And the bus driver was moving so so so SLOW... Argh! Really waste my time... But luckily Hui waited for me. First time late when I meet someone sigh... So paiseh... Argh... Freaking bus & driver...

Nevermind! We took the Northeast line down to Little India and my gosh! I was greeted by that familiar "Indian" smell the moment I stepped out from the train at Little India. haha!!! So much for a [Welcome to Little India]...

But I can tell you... Little India is really a wonderful place! So much nice food, clothes and stuffs. Alot of things are being sold there that can't really be found anywhere in the normal HDB estate we live in. Like Indian-Flower rings, special fragrant sticks, accessories that are very India-flavored. Hui brought along her Olympus DSLR & started photo-whoring, while I go around exploring all the little details of Little India. It was so fun, until we heard growling from our tummies... We were HUNGRY.

Hui had black pepper mock pork chop, while I had mock fish & chip. Not too bad... Quite nice... Then from there, we walked to Bugis, and along the way Hui took quite a few photos, all very nice haha!!! Only got a bit from her... The rest are still in the Oven, so GUYS! have to wait for our Master... I promise that it'll be excellent haha!!!

Then, our final destination was Orchard, where we went to meet up with Hui's friend Chin Mei. A very sweet girl, and very well-mannered. We did some shopping, I helped Mei to look for some new clothes and help Hui to look out for a full body tube top...

Mei brought a grey overall. NICE! And a pair of shorts... And Hui told me that today was the first time, that Chin Mei tried on clothes without much resistance... I was like "OH!? Really ahZ?! haha!! That's cool!!!"

But... all fun has too end somewhere... Mei went off to help her dad's business, so both of us went over to PS's PastaMania for dinner... Both of us virtually poured the whole bottle of cheese over our pasta haha!!! WE'RE CHEESE-MANIA!!! Then, we went home...

So tired... But very fun...

Some photos from our trip to Little India:

I'm free!!!!

Finally! After battling with that irritating throat Virus Battalion, my White Blood Cell Brigade has finally emerged victorious! Of cause, that's impossible without reinforcements from our dear anti-biotic. Though we've lost many comrades due to this bloody battle, but their sacrifices and deaths will not be forgotten. As I've summarised all of them [Sorry, too many "names" to put down] in here....

"HEROES OF THE THROAT VIRUS BATTLE"

OK! Enough of craps... The sore throat has really irritated me alot! Can't speak too loud or too forcefully. Can't eat alot of things like spicy, curry, fried / deep fried, durians.... Oh yeah! Talking about Durians... My dad bought durians 2 days ago, and I CAN'T EAT AT ALL!!! All I could do, was to just watch my whole family slowly devoured all three durians.... *SOB* *SOB* I'm such a poor thing....

Back in Camp, I was so "ENG" that I was virtually playing my PSP in my office all day long. But I felt so bad and so uncomfortable, to be sitting in the office the WHOLE DAY and doing nothing... The feeling was really sucky...

Well, anyway... I just hope that my friend can go out tomorrow, then at least I have some programs tomorrow haha!! Ok now... I'm going back to my stuffs... Gotta start job hunting....

Sick & Tired

Why?! The title of this post must be telling you that I'm gonna start complaining about this screwed up world in the next 1,000 words right? Well, WRONGGG!!!!!!!!

I'm really sick [Down with Sore Throat & Fever] + I'm really tired [I think I've slept more than 30 hours in the past 2 days] haha!!!

Was already down with Sore throat since Friday or Thursday, just that it has gotta worse over the weekends. I could hardly talk, less to say swallow. So, on Monday [After much nagging from my friends], I went to see the medical officer in camp. I reported for sore throat and slight fever. I don't know how high my fever was. But yeah! after taking my temperature, my fever was indeed very SLIGHT, at 38.5. haha!!! The Medic was looking at me with eyes wide open.

So, he immediately sent me to level 2 to await consultation. Within about 15mins of waiting, I saw my Queue number flashing on the LED Board. "ROOM #04: 020" "Ok! That's me..."

I knocked on the door, took a seat and the Officer immediately asked me when I got my illness, how long has it been, when was it the worst blah, blah blah. Then, he took a big ice cream stick, and gently stick into my mouth, while I "AHHhhh......"

Now, here the funny part, the Officer said that I had quite a serious throat infection, thus he asked me how many days I wanna rest. My eyes were like: "HUH! You're asking me?!"

So, I said: "Er.... Don't want too many days lah... Just 3-4 days should be good enough..."
"Ok! Then I shall give you 3 days... 3 days should be more than enough. Though I thought you might have asked for more...."

My jaws were like gonna drop onto the floor any moment, when I heard that... "OH MY GOD!!! Did I accidentally stepped onto lucky Star today? I should have asked for 5 days.. HAHA!!"

Well... Anyway, after resting for 2 days... My throat has gotten better... But just that it still hurts whenever I swallow... Hope that it'll recover in time when I report back to camp on thursday...

But! At least I managed to finish those drama shows on youtube.com haha!!!

ZOO!!!

Last week went to the Singapore Zoological Garden. For the first time in 16 years!! The last time I visited the Zoo was way, way, way back when I was just about 6 year old. HAHA! Can't believe it right? Even I myself can't believe that, I've been staying in Singapore for 22 years & I've only been to the Zoo twice.

The experience of going to Zoo, simply just "transformed" me into a toddler again... Enough of talks! Here're some photos...

I was trying to kiss the baby goat. Their tongue was indeed "watery"

LUNCHTIME!!! MONKEY FEAST!!!

The ever elegant female lion

The White Tiger... SO Beautiful!!!

A Desert Lizard basking in the "SUN"

Ain't this young Kangaroo cute?! So cute!!!

And this?! Is a cousin of Kangaroo, a Wallaby

I just couldn't resist not taking this Rhino Lizard's photo, when it posed so NICE. haha!!!

Was a little disappointed though. Due to the rainy weather, some of the animals in the Zoo weren't exhibited, such as the Famous Orang-Utan, the newly born polar Bear and some animals. But at least I went to the Zoo yet again after 16 years haha!! The Zoo become so so so Beautiful!!! And also, got alot of hot chicks haha!!! OppZ! =X

Major Update [Part II]

Remember I told you about my recent clubbing & pubbing frequency increasing? Well, 2 weeks ago, I went pubbing with Hui & her friends to this particular pub @ Boat Quay. Total about 6 of us.

The ambience was quite average, but the crowd was excellent. We played this improved version of "Cai Quan".

Rule of the Game:
Each player uses only one hand. Group size from 3 onwards.

Maximum number that can be called is 5X No. of people playing.

Game begins with one person calling out a number in mutiple of 5 [E.G. 0,5,10,15...]

If the number of fingers on the field matches the number called out, quickly shout out one person's name.

The person who's name has been called out, must shout "PUSH" within 1 sec, else he'll have to drink.

Likewise, if two or more players called out different names at the same time, they will be forfeited to drink.

Otherwise, the next player shout a number, if the field's number doesn't tally.

This game kinda made us like the "Noisiest" group in that pub... haha!!! 'Cause, we were like shouting "5", "15", "20", "XXX!!!", "AAA!!!", "AH!!! DRINK DRINK!!!" all the time...

And then, there was this hostess in that pub. Quite nice in person actually and her service was excellent. She would automatically come over to our table and refill drinks & ice for us. After some time, she began to make small talks with us, and it seem like I was the only one "willing" to chat with her in the end. IMO, she was virtually "flirting" with me.

How I "know"?? Here's how....
Whenever she comes over to our table to refill ice or drink, she would "purposely" enter from my side, even though there are spaces on Hui's friends' side... Then, she would "pretentiously" bump into me whenever she gets up.
After a while, whenever she wanna initial small talks, she would tap my shoulder and bend over very near to me & practically whisper into my ears.
And a couple of times, when we're playing the game, she would grab a counter chair, sit next to me, with her legs crossed, and bend down, appearing to be interested in what we're playing. And all these were done facing me...

Since I'm single, and was also looking for some fun & entertainment, I just went along and did some small "flirting" with her. I would whisper when we talk or say "yellow" jokes into her ears. And would occasionally throw small winks at her whenever she came by to refill ice or drinks...

OK OK enough of that...Let's fast forward to last weekend. Again, I joined Hui & her friends at the same pub again. The pub was crowded with more youngsters this time round, and apparently she noticed & rememebered my name when I entered the pub, but I purposely forgotten her name and just addressed her by "Pretty" .

Because there wasn't much sofa seats around, me and my friends sat on the counter seats . And that when the "fun" started... She started "flirting" with me right from the moment I sat down on the counter seat. Firstly, she "accidentally" ran her fingers over my thighs gently, when she came over & asked what drinks we would like to have. Then, she "unnoticeable-ly " used her heels to knock gently against the tip of my shoes whenever she walk by.

I didn't stayed in that pub for long that night, I ordered about 2 mugs of beer with my friends. We chilled, boozed and chatted a bit in that pub, before we went over to MOS to meet with my friends' friends, who were ABCs.

BUT , the worst thing was... I received an unknown sms on Monday morning, which later I knew was her. The only problem was, I didn't know how she managed to get my number, when I didn't even gave my number to Hui's friends... AHZzzz... WEIRD!!

But... But, at least she doesn't know where I live, so, she can't stalk me... At least I'm safe, though not from her sms-es... I guess maybe she just wanna be friends... Hope that it would just stay that way...

Anyway, just came back from town, after a wonderful trip with Jeffrey & Hui in Orchard. Virtually, we were photo-whoring most of the time haha!!

Jeffrey's a cute and young 15 boy. Expected him to grow up into a handsome, fine-looking gentleman. Given the right grooming & mix with the right group of people.

We hung around Orchard area, and did some window-shopping at Topshop, as Topshop is currently having a Mega 50% discount Sales, to clear their spring/summer stock.

Here are some pictures we took...

Major Update [Part I]

Firstly, a Freaking big SORRY from me to all my friends, for not updating my blog for such a long time.

After letting all of you missed out so much action, I don't even know where to start from *Head start to ache--PAIN!!*

Since July, well, I've been clubbing & pubbing more often. BUT, doesn't mean I'm drinking more... haha... I'm a person who don't like to get drunk in public. Knew a lot more people & made more friends. Especially last weekend...

Went out with Frankie & Haikal to a pub near my sister's EX-work place [aka Hong Kong Cafe]. Since it's a pub located at Jo Chiat area, more or less I expected the place to be packed with pubbers around 30+, with china girls or some old girls who think that they still pack a "punch" in hooking up with guys.

Oh well, the place is quite happening. People shouting, screaming, play pool, sing songs, and not forgetting drink... I just don't like these kinda places. It just doesn't...well... have "LIFE", as in, you know, YOUNG. But still, because we went there to celebrate Frankie's 20th Birthday, we drank around 6 jugs of tiger beer. My gosh... my first taste of tiger beer in 2 years, and I actually ind it quite disgusting. haha!!! And it was actually Tiger Beer which trained my good hold of alcohol... Gosh!

But, since all 3 of us are youngsters, definitely we would go to a place where all youngsters gather, CLARK QUAY. As Sally was celebrating her birthday there as well, I went over to join them around 1:30am.

By the time I arrived, Siong, Ber, Siong's friend, Kevin, were already drunk & Sally was already DEAD Drunk. [Must have been Siong or Jane who kept asking her to drink..haha!!!]

Didn't really drank much, just "5 secs" of Martel, which was about 1 glass of it. Plus, some weird cocktail mixed by the already drunk, kevin. haha!

The night ended with Kevin lying motionless outside MOS, puking Martel, food, water, saliva and other stuffs, all over his body. But eventually, me, Siong and Ber's god brother, Jeffrey, carried him all the way back to Cantonment Police HQ, where he resides and works. And gosh, He was HEAVY!!! And it took me a couple of tight slaps on his face before he kinda woke up from his hangover... *And my fingers still hurts... And one care to nurse my poor fingers?*

Unexplanable

I have my reasons for the things I have said to you last night. But I just can't tell you the reason why...

Thus, I rather prevent things from happening further, rather than let it continue. because it would hurt me more than it is gonna hurt you...

AND,.. Sorry guys. Been too busy recently to update my blog. I'll try to find time to update my blog. Just that recently, too many things have been happening to me. Both in Army and personal Life...

Stay cool... ByE!

Long Weekend

Well, 5 months have passed for 2007, with 7 more to go, before we welcome 2008. May ended with quite some mercy, giving us a good 4 days of break, especially precious for me & my fellow LSA colleauges.

'Cause come June, we'll be sucked into a whole chain of events, which would 100% drained every ounce of energy in our body.

First week of June, is the start of Commercial Stock-take 2007, plus Direct Enlistment & Graduation Parade of some School 1 companies. Followed tightly by School 1 & 2 Graduation parade in 2nd week & Direct Enlistment towards the end of the week.

Then, it's all the normal cycle our department will be doing. Arrange for nametags, nametag sewing, Kit exchange for faulty items. And on top of all these, Commercial Stock-take is still on-going... I could vaguely foresee almost everyone will be dead beaten by the end of June...

Ok! So much for the "Forecast of Events" for June. Today, I spent my day rotting away at home, couldn't find anyone to go out. Either they were to lazy to go out, already have appointments with their own friends or working. Sigh... So much for being in Army. Even when it comes to the "oh-so-precious" weekends, I can't even confirm an outing with my friends, because at any one time, my phone might ring and I'll have to report back to camp for duties.

This is to Val:
Val, if my words the other night, has led you to some misunderstanding. I deeply apologize here. My words ain't meant to push any blame onto anyone. And I have no intention to blame anyone for not being available. I'm neither a tyrant nor a boar. I understand fully that everyone has their own lives to pass, things to do, friends to meet, and families & loved ones to company.

if my friends can't fork out the time to meet up, then I'll just have to try my luck another time. While, I try my luck with other friends. Else, I'll just stay at home & do some leisure stuffs.

Perhaps my casual question of asking friends out at that point of time, came at the wrong moment & wrong place.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This question popped up in my head recently:
"Has the world around me changed, or am I the one who have changed?"

These few days, I felt this colliding feeling within me. It seems like friends I once thought I knew, turns out to be people that I totally don't understand. While friends I thought were just mere "Hi-Bye" friends, happens to be people who know me deeper.

Perhaps the only consolation for me would be those friends I knew never changed, still stay put. But is it a good or bad thing?

Has Army changed me? Has Time changed me? Has Age changed me? Or is it because of other factors that has caused this evolution? I wanted to stop this change, or slow it down, so that I could have enough time to catch up with it. But it seems to be evolving faster & faster each time I tried to catch up... ...

Should I continue to chase after it, or should I go in search for another direction?

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S END

In the follow-up to PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST, we find our heroes Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) allied with Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) in a desperate quest to free Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from his mind-bending trap in Davy Jones' locker - while the terrifying ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman and Davy Jones, under the control of the East India Trading Company, wreaks havoc across the Seven Seas. Navigating through treachery, betrayal and wild waters, they must forge their way to exotic Singapore and confront the cunning Chinese Pirate Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My own review, I was almost bored to Dreamland half-way through the Whole Movie [which was about 170mins!!!] Like the past installations, the movie is not lacking in the Humour Department, with Jack Sparrow delivering most of those Black Humour.
I'm not gonna reveal the details of the Movie, if you're a fan of [Pirates], then this is a MUST WATCH for you hardcore fans...

Hui... Really really really sorry...

Small Cohesion

After work today, our department's Boss treated some of us to a small dinner at a Vegetarian Restaurant at Apollo Center, which is situated at Haverlock Road.

In the beginning, I was quite afraid that the choice of dishes I chose, wouldn't be of everyone's liking, but all my worries turned out to be nothing. Everyone were amazed that all the dishes tasted almost like real meat. Everyone were full of praises of each dish.

That, gave me an ease of my mind... haha!!!

Then, everyone started to break away from work, and discussed about personal life and where we'll be heading after we ORD... I felt that the environment was quite relaxing, especially when the topics don't really revolve around work-related stuffs.

Now, I can't wait for my colleague's 20th Birthday in July...

I was browsing through Youtube for S.H.E's MVs and look what I found??!!

Post Sat BBQ

Heard from my colleagues that everyone in the Office were discussing Saturday's BBQ. Everyone had their own version of the Story to tell, and everyone had a good laugh at every version...

And Mr Eric even said that come June, he'll arrange for another cohesion, and this time round, no one is spared!!! Oh my gosh... I think Mr. Eric is addicted to drinking. He said that last saturday, he didn't really enjoyed himself to the max, because he had to keep a clear mind and take care of all of us...

I was thinking: "Yeah right..."

Well... I guess everyone's looking forward to that Cohesion haha!!!

And for the video on the "Flame Dragon", I'll try to get hold of the video asap... Well, you know, now SAF can't bring in Camera Phone, so it's kinda hard to get things moving...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well that night, was one mad night, Haikal, who was already drunk, was dishing out liquor to everyone at that Pit. From Rum to Tequila to Vodka. From Whiskey to Brandy to Gin to Carlsberg.

While the rest of us, under Haikal's mercy, drank obediently. Nio was busy playing with Fire. And he was making a Flame caled "Dragon" and it's damn cool I tell you. I hope to get the video, and upload here...

Haikal, though drunk, would go around talking nonsense and making funny scenes. His poor girlfriend, Melody, was busy running here and there, taking care of him, making sure he's not getting himself into any trouble... Poor Girl... Lucky Haikal haha!!

After rounds of drinking Tequila "Pop", "LSA Sling", Putting Cake cream on each other's face, we went around taking photos and having small talks. And as usual, I'm the photographer, going around taking precious candid shots, when the moment strikes... haha!!!

Oh!! And it was yesterday then I realised that Mr Eric is a damn good drinker. He can really hold his liquor damn well... Too bad there wasn't much alcohol left, else I really wanna pit my skills against him haha!!!

And Desmond.... After drinking just 2 shots of Tequila "Pop" & Vodka Sprite... He's already knocked-out...

ARh! I got tagged!!! =.=|||

How I wished I never visited Kat's blog at all. SI KAT... Why must tag me =P haha!!! Just Joking.

Hmmm... ok. Here's the rule of this "Tag" Game:

Tagged! This is what you are supposed to do. Cut and paste if you decide to participate in the tagging game. Each player of this game starts off by giving 6 weird things about themselves. People who get tagged need to write in a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state the rules clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. After you do that, leave them each a comment letting them know you tagged them and to read your blog.

Oh gosh.... I'm FORCED to write down 6 of my deepest & darkest & weirdest habits, and "Announce" it to EVERYONE!!! AH!!!

OK! Here goes nothing!!! [Takes a deep breathe, my eyes half-open and start typing away...]

  1. I have an alter-ego. At work, I always like to keep my stuffs clean, neat, tidy & in order. But when I'm at home, I will suddenly become very lazy. I'll leave my stuffs all over the place, and only keep them till my sister or my parents nag at me.
  2. I'm actually an Old Uncle deep down in my heart. Because, I'll tend to nag at my friends a lot without me realising it at all.
  3. I won't trim my nails completely clean. I would normally trim my finger nails into a "V" shape, and file the pointed-tip of my nails slightly, so that it's rounded.
  4. I'll turn totally Shy in front of stranger girls, even if they are my friends' friends. And this is a proven fact. Whenever I go out with my friends, if they bring their gal-friends along, I would be abnormally quiet that whole outing. And I would only talk when necessary. I won't joke, I won't crap, I won't even talk "cock".
  5. I'll only scold vulgarities when I'm with my group of Army friends. Other than that, my so-call "Vulgarity" Mode is totally switch off. Don't ask me why, maybe because it's ARMY. haha!!!
  6. I'm a very Vain Guy. I wash my face 2-3 times a day. Apply Toner, Moisturiser, Oil Control, Eye Serum, and do facial masks 2 times a week. Only thing I lack in this category, is a visit to a Facial Spa Shop once a week. And I love shopping. I'm an Addict to Shopping.
FINALLY!!! It's all over haha!!! Not much actually... Lucky it states only 6 and not 10... If not I'll have to expose more dark secrets about myself... AHHHH!!!!!

HAHAHA!!! Now, it's MY TURN to tag my friends!

[Drum beat............................................................... *Clash*]

Joyce
Ye Hui
Yu Guang
Hui Ping
Sharon
Zheng Qin

There!!! haha!! Must feel honoured ok?! Because not just me, but your other friends would love to know more about a side of you, that probably only you know.
Waiting patiently for your post on this =D

Superman Returns

On my way back home from Camp, I happened to pass by TS Video Pte Ltd's branch at Tampines EastLink Mall. And just happened that they were currently having a Store-wide Discount. Gosh! I've been walking pass this particular shop so, so, so many times & I totally missed it?! Where were my eyes!?

Anyway, I walked into the shop, and there was this girl shop assistant, wearing a yellow blouse, looked quite cute & decent, but I guessed she would have looked even better if she were to wear a smile on her face.

Ok... Enough of Side-track. I slowly "examined" every single movie, animation & drama series available in the Store. Picked up & put down countless "potentials". Finally, I got Super-man Returns, Underworld & Wang Lee Hom Concert, all DVD. And it was quite cheap, 3 for S$30 haha!! What a steal!!!

But I was only able to watch Super-Man Returns, as the DVD player couldn't read the Underworld DVD [Might be coding problem].

Super-man Returns was set 5 years after Super-man's sudden Departure. In the beginning, the story began that Superman assumed that his planet, Krypton, was still around, only to find out that the planet has been reduced to Cosmic particles. Thus, with a fallen heart, Superman made his way back to Earth, and re-assumed his Alter-Ego, Clark Kent. And only to realise his Arch-Rival, Lex Luthor, was released from Prison and has been wielding a sinister plan to have his revenge on Super-man.

After I finished the whole Movie, I felt that Super-man symbolised a common thing in every Human. He symbolised Hope, Pride & Honour, Unselfishness & Loyalty.

Super-man will always appear at dire times, where mere human strength is impossible to overcome & conquer. Something which reminds me that we humans are actually very fragile & weak in context.

Super-man would forgo his weakness towards Kryptonite, and put on a brave fight against Evil. This reminded me that even the strongest & toughest man, has their weakness & can't fight Evil alone.

But, what touches me most was the ending part, where every single citizen unite together to pray for Super-man's well being. And this is a symbol of Unity & Hope.

Story Plot

He returns to work as Clark Kent at The Daily Planet in Metropolis, where he learns Lois Lane is now a mother and has won the Pulitzer Prize for her article Why the World Doesn't Need Superman. During Superman's absence, Lex Luthor has been released from prison, conned a rich widow into a sham wedding to get his hands on her money, and stolen Kryptonian crystals from the Fortress of Solitude. Luthor returns to Metropolis and experiments with a tiny fragment in a pool which grows to immense size. The growing crystal causes a blackout, affecting the take off of a space shuttle tethered to a Boeing 777, which Lois Lane is aboard, covering the story. Clark flies into action as Superman and stops the plane from crashing into a baseball field.

The world rejoices in Superman's return, but Lois is more concerned with the blackout. Clark meets her fiancé Richard White, nephew of Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White, and their son Jason. Superman is hurt when he overhears a conversation between Lois and Richard in which she says she never loved Superman. He buries himself in his work, including halting a bank heist and saving Kitty, Luthor's co-conspirator. While Kitty distracts Superman, Luthor steals kryptonite from a museum. Perry assigns Lois to interview Superman whilst Clark investigates the blackout. At night, Lois goes out for a smoke on top of the The Daily Planet and Superman takes her for a flight, during which he apologizes for leaving her.

??What Tarot Card are you??

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

Well, this was what I got... Seems like most of my friends got "The Star" haha!!! COOL! Great minds think alike YEAH!!!

...:::A Friend:::...

MAY DA JIE, MY MEMORY

Yesterday, in the wee hours before even the first Sunray could be seen, I was sitting inside my colleagues' bunk, waiting for them to get ready for Guard Duty. As I was walking towards the Sofa, a familiar face on the front page of "Newpaper" caught my attention, and it was dated on 29th April 2007, which was like 1 week ago... But at that point of time, I was being deployed to overseas for a week. I only came back a few days ago.

Hey! It was May! Haven't seen her in a long time. It was only 2 weeks ago, we sent each other some funny emails. I wondered to myself why she was on the Frontpage...

[She only wanted to earn more money.... But now she... cont on Page 2]

This particular sentence struck me immediately. And something told me it wasn't something good. For the next 20 or so mins, I was dumb-founded, lost for words, blank & lost at article on May's Death.

Initially, I didn't believed at all what the Papers said was true. May can't be dead. We just exchanged funny too long ago. And even chatted on the MSN about 1 week ago. No!! It can't be true at all. This MUST have been a joke. And too big a joke...

Then, I saw Kaiyan's name in the papers as well... The papers description of her family background etc etc... Reality instantly gave me a Check-In. NO!!! NO!!! NO!!! May was only 29 for god sake!!! She was just too young to die. Her dreams yet to realise. Her goals yet materialised. She hasn't even enjoy LIFE to its fullest. And... And... Our promise to go to Japan together... And what about her mum?

She was diagnosed to have died due to over-exhaustion from working too long hours, as blood clots were found in her knee area. It all started a few months back when she was finally accepted into a MNC, and she thought that it might be her "big Break", especially after working in LTA as a clerical Officer [A.K.A Clerk] for almost 8 years.

As May was only an "A" level graduate, thus her prospect in LTA wasn't bright at all, especially with a pay of only $1500. When she quit LTA 2 years back, me & a group of friends rejoiced for her. Because, finally she could achieve something bigger, better, & stuffs she likes, for a change.

Thus, being admitted into a MNC, was more than just a break for May, but a chance for better pay & better living standard for her mother. Not long after, she opted to another department, which had more prospects and opportunities for promotions, especially with a starting pay of $2,600.

But, neither does she or anyone knew, that this choice would eventually lead to her death. Right from the start, her workload was tremendously huge. Just checking & replying of purchase emails alone, would be enough for her to sit in front of the Monitor for Hours.

Soon after, May started to complain about constant pains, giddiness & weak physically in her blog. None thought that all these simple symptoms were tell-tale signs of a possible DVT [Deep venous thrombosis] Read more about DVT

What all of us could do, was tell her to rest more, don't over-work & take good care of herself. She did all that, but still her health condition continued a downward spiral to Death.

A girl. Humble, thoughtful, with a "Silly Big Sister" attitude, always care for friends, never fails to lend a listening ear to friend. Always have a big, affectionate smile on her face. Her "never-say-give up" & "everything will be just fine" positive attitude.

May was like a Big sister to me, [Since I never had a elder sister] she was very caring towards me. Always looking out for me, even though at times she was extremely busy. Whenever I was feeling down at work, she would surprise me & "drag" me out for a breather either over a cup of drink or a plate of food, and encourage me never give up. She would always say to me "At the end of the dark tunnel, there's a ray of light waiting for us"

This was the exact sentence I remembered even till now. Because at a point of time in my career, I was at a bottle-neck, and it was this statement from her that pushed me to keep trying.

Da Jie, though I never had the chance to call you that, and I never will have the chance. Your parting was too sudden, too fast. We didn't have a chance to have supper again. Neither, will we be able to sing KTV together again...

But Your words will forever be part of my heart, my memory & my life. Your affectionate laughter & smile, now, could only be relived in my memories & dreams. But it's sweet, warm & encouraging. Because though we're worlds apart, I know that you're here... In my heart...

Pardon Xiao Di, for not being able to see you off one last time. For this, I forever feel remorseful. But your tragic meeting will forever serve as a lesson to all, that there are things in Life that are much more important than MONEY. And that's Friends & Family.

Da Jie,

God Bless You. But one day we shall gather again in the "Land of Happiness"... One day...

Yours faithfully,
Xiao Di

The place I slug out from 8 to 5

Some called it "Workplace", some called it "Office", and there are others who called it "Hell". But me? I just call it a "Comedy Valley".

Why? Because every single day, this 10M X 6M space, never fail to generate laughters which will make a dreadful day wheesh by easier.

Everyday, my colleagues will proceed to this "Valley" after our Morning Roll-Call. And the funny thing is, everyone would stay in that room till around 8:30am or 8:45am, before we would go for breakfast. Well, our Boss has this particular habit to gather everyone in the Office, and have a morning chat with us before we start our day.

And even if there ain't any morning chat, everyone would mysteriously hang around till 8:30am.

It kind of felt warm actually. How should I put it?! It's like you feel very comfortable and easy, As if we're like one big family. Everyone would gather around, talk about what happened last night, or even the previous night's soccer matches, how MAN U flopped their chance of advancing to the Champions' League Final, or even where we went last night. And definitely, our conversations can never be completed without discussions about girls. HAHA!!! We're Man you know HAHA!!!

But the funniest thing or "Comedian" is none other than my Boss. Whenever he gather all of us for a morning chat or evening chat, he never fails to insert, or side-track with some "grandfather stories", or those "I've been there, done that" kind of Stories. He'll talk about how "great" he was in his younger days, gossiped about how "shrew" old officers or soldiers were when they were in command, or how they would try to come up with 1001 reasons to skip training.

Or he would talk about other topics which actually have no link whatsoever with the things he's talking about. Though, well, it's time-wasting and kind of unnecessary. But all these never fail to amuse or bring a smile on our faces, and we use it as an alternative "force" to let time pass faster.

But, I guess come June, this "Comedy Valley" would never be the same again... ...
