2009 Resolution

Year 2008 is coming to an end in about.... 2hr 45mins and 1 sec. I read in the newspaper today that official scientists will add one more second to year 2008 after precise calculations of the Earth revolution... WEIRD PEOPLE...

As normal, every year i will review my resolution and see if I made any progress...

Year 2008's resolution
  1. Driving License
  2. Start my Part-time Business
  3. Facial treatment (I wanna have smooth face!!!)
  4. More formal clothes (At least 10-15 more sets)
  5. New PC monitor or CPU (My current one is nearing "R.I.P")
  6. Repair my Old PC
  7. Wireless Modem
  8. Leather shoe ( I'm aiming at Pedro or Aldo)
  9. Leather belt
  10. Facial Treatment
  11. Dental Treatment
  12. New TV Console
  13. New Clothes Cupboard
  14. New Book Cupboard
  15. New Display Cupboard
  16. Go Holiday with Ber Ber
  17. Give away my encyclopedia set
  18. Re-arrange my room
Things I managed to achieve or getting closer...
  1. Driving License. After delaying for a year, I finally registered myself. YES!
  2. Part-time Business. Working towards my dream of opening my very own fashion boutique. Currently, setting up a business to sell IT lifestyle products. Aiming it's launch in May/June.
  3. Facial treatment. It was put on hold for a while, because I had skin problems a few months back. I decided to shelf it for that few months and wait for my skin to settle down. Recently, went back for 2 treatments.
  4. Formal clothes. Short of 5 shirts, 2 pants, 3 cardigans, 3 vests, 5 ties & 1 blazer. So, guys & girls, you all know what I need for my birthday gift right?! HA! HA! HA!
  5. New leather shoe. Currently, I'm looking at a few brands, Pedro, Aldo, Beetlebug and recently discovered a leather shoe shop in orchard.
  6. Repair my current leather shoe. It's gonna give up soon! Especially at the way I am treating it....
  7. New PC Monitor or CPU. Got myself a new Asus EEE PC instead. Simply splendid! Will get a cheap 17" LCD monitor to compliment my EEE PC.
  8. Wireless Modem. Done! With help from Singnet Broadband.
  9. Go holiday with Ber Ber. Now that I have my passport. I'm planning to go for a 2D1N trip to Bintan with Ber Ber on my Birthday.
  10. Give away my encyclopedia set. Found a new owner. Ber Ber's friend, Franklin. BRAVO!
  11. Re-arrange my room. It's the Time-of-the-Year again. SPRING CLEANING!
  12. New external HDD. I said that I wanted to get one, in the end, I got two! haha!
Things I need to get it moving or at least keep it noted down...

Weekly update

2008-12-20

Went to City Hall with Ber Ber to meet up with her friends but there were some last minute changes, so we took a slow stroll to Singapore Flyers and had some finger food at the Popeye there...

It's been a while since both of us had such a long, slow & enjoyable walk...And as usual, we will take a lot of photos haha!!!

2008-12-21

It's a special day today. Why? Because it's 1221 or 2112. And for both of us, it was a magical night. Because for the first time in both our lives, we had ate log cake. Not one but two!

Went down to Orchard Road, hoping that we can do some late-night window shopping. Luckily we were rewarded. Wisma Atrium was operating way after 11:00 pm, which we were pretty amazed. And you would be more amazed at the crowd...

Photobucket Photobucket
This was Orchard Road on 21 Dec 2008, 11:25 pm!!!

After walking a while, we decided to eat the log cake I bought...

Photobucket
Not really very nice though but it was a signal of more good things coming...

Photobucket
Paragon's X`mas tree is so beautiful at night....

Photobucket
These giant cupcakes were "littered" along the stretch of road from Wisma to Taka. And many people would pause for a shot, including us...

Photobucket
The Hereen's unique X`mas Decoration. Too bad, this (Once hip, trendy & popular) shopping center is slowly losing its appeal and a lot of shops are giving way to cafes& restaurants.

Photobucket
Centrepoint's X`mas theme was lights. And lots of them!!!

This was our second log cake, from Coffee Club. Really nice!!! Heehee...

This is the view of our Singapore's Night skyline at 12:30 am... Now we know where our hard-earned money goes to....

Photobucket Photobucket
Feeling a little tired, we rested our tiny feets at Hong Kong Cafe :)

And I think it's about time to review my 2008 wish list and see if I managed to reach any goals... (OH NO... It's revelation time!)

Weekend update!

Hi all! Time for some quick update on what's been happening...

2008-12-10 Chill out

Went to chill at the Pasir Ris Whitesands Shopping Center's Hong Kong cafe. Both of us enjoy chilling there. The Semi-round table and cushioned seats, a quiet environment, quite excellent service and we always love watching some movies there... Excellent place to chill out till about 2 to 3 am.

2008-12-13 Double O again!

Met up with Ber Ber, Sally and their friend, Jeremy, at Orchard Road. A very nice guy, full of crap and he is a total Mod. car frantic!

We took a spin in his slightly modded Mazda 3 around town and finally we headed down to Arab St. for some Muslim or middle east food. we finally chilled at this Muslim cafe and ordered some food.

Photobucket Photobucket
Assorted Muslim delicacies. Only thing that tasted nice were the banana cup cakes. The rest sucks!

Photobucket
Popiah Gram. A vege Popiah. Sucks. Skin too think. Too much chilli. Too little stuffings. Chinese ones way, way, way better.

Photobucket
Nasi Goreng Pattaya. I asked the uncle to have it vegetarian. Quite nice.

After we had our stomachs filled, we made our way down to Bugis Junction to say "Hi..." to Jeremy's wife. Very "xiao nu ren", that's all I can say. Jeremy then offered us a ride back to his house area, because he needed to wait for his dad and hand over his Mazda 3 and change to his Hyundai Getz, which is close to being fully modded.

This car is a beauty.

After that, we headed back to Bugis Junction to meet up with Jeremy's wife and we walked down to Double O. Quite a nice walk, because there were so many people and we were chatting, joking and laughing all the way there. It really makes the whole trip rather short and very enjoyable. (",)

Once inside Double O, all hell broke loose haha!!! All of us were running back and forth between O bar & Double O haha! So fun! It's been a long time, since I did such things. Hopping from bars to bars, clubs to clubs, pubs to pubs. Gotta do that again!
