Perhaps it would be a good time to recall what were some of the major events that happened in 2005, wouldn't it be great??? Well, well, well.. Hmmm... Let's begin from the beginning...
*Looked into the Night sky and tried very hard to recollect what happened throughout the year...*
Well from January to March, most of the time I was focusing on my FYP, so nothing really spectacular about that.
After which, things were practically normal, after I graduated. Sleep, Work, Sleep, Work, Sleep, Work...ALmost like a Robot...
Really hated that kinda life. From Sept till now, it's been all about Army, Army and More Army. My only entertaining time is during the Weekends. Where I go out with my friends to walk, walk, shop shop or just talk cock, sing song, play mahjong.
ok....Enough of recollection. Basically, I've been a Wonderful, Obedient, Nice, and Good Boy this year. So, On 31st Dec 2005, I rewarded myself to go see Fireworks for the very first time in my life haha!!! Sounds very mountain Turtle right??? For the past 20 years, what the heck have I been doing??!!! Only at the age of 20 den I seen my first-ever Fireworks...Lucky only very, very, very few people knew about this. If not, I would have been made the biggest laughin stock of 2005!!!! Gosh! won't want that...
Rushed home immediately after I booked out from camp. Reached Home around 330pm. And called Yue Hui immediately to see if she has any plans for the night, and just nice she just reached home and I called her lolZ. But, over the phone, she sounded slightly ill... Was actually thinking of telling her to rest at home, since she got a slight flu. But Guess what? At the same time, my dad told me that tonight house got Qing Zhu. I was like: "What the heck!? Real or not???" So I immediately took out my HP and checked the Chinese Calendar. SHIT! ARH!!! I didn't even know that today was the first day of Chinese 12th Month... I thought to myself:" Don't care ah... No matter what, today I must go out and have fun!!! haha!!!"
Discussed with Yue Hui, where we should have our dinner. At Orchard Hong Ge Restaurant or elsewhere lehZ? And she also told me that MaMa would be out with her BF and his friends singing KTV and MIGHT be going there as well... I was like:"OH! well, ask her whether we can join her gang for dinner lorZ...den after which we go our seperate ways lahZ...."
But never mind lahZ, just asked that for the fun of it. Then, we discussed where we should meet. Finally, we settled for City Hall at 6pm and go to HANS@ Marina Square. After we hung up, I cut up a few oranges to waste a bit of time, since it was just 4pm. I went into my room and saw my sister was chatting with Yue Hui on MSN. I was like:"oh! My sis have Yue Hui's MSN as wel...CoolZ!"
Den we continued to discuss where we should go after dinner. She said wanna go Clubbing at MS cuz she has never been there before and that because alot of unhappy things happened to her, so she wished to drink. But being a frequent clubber before I join NS, I knew that Clubs and Pubs charge alot of extra things on these kinda days. And it would end up burning a big hole in your pocket. Though the ambience would be totally awesome, with loads of people crowding around, the roads and walk ways would have people spraying party snow, dancing to the music and making hell lot of noise.
Then, I told her that why not we go watch Fireworks at Esplanade? Cuz I told her that I have never seen fireworks before. Everytime only see it on TV, so I would love to experience my first Fireworks on the First Day of 2006. And I know it would be an unforgettable experience. And finally, I managed to convince her to go for the fireworks. Don't worry Silly girl, I will make it up to you, though I must say sorry that I might have made it seems like I forced you to watch Fireworks, cuz it would remind you of painful past memories... ...
Met up with them at City Hall. GOSH! City Hall today was exceptionally packed with people. But of cause! It's 2006 Countdown man! haha! Yue Hui was exceptionally Herself. She wore the pink Collar shirt I chose for her on X`mas Day. But, I could see from her face that she wasn't feeling very well. Nevertheless, we slowly made our way to Marina Square. Saw an very cute Fossil Analog watch. Oh well, but it's not the watch I want.
The renovation at Marina Square was mostly done, only left like 1/4 of the building before it's fully completed. Marina Square has been given a total Make Over. I can tell you that Marina Square don't usually have so many people one. And also, the range of shops have also changed alot. They have a section dedicated to Furniture, a section for High-end Fashion, a section for jewellery, and of cause a section for Gen Y.
HANS was really packed with alot of people. But we were very blessed, we got to sit at a Table-for-4 with very nice seats haha! At first, we thought inconsidered people have left their umbrella there and went off to order things, but after a while we thought that someone might have left their umbrella there, so I took it and gave it to one of the staffs there. Well, I guess it was all Heaven's Will that we get to sit at a nice table haha!

After that we walk walk, shop shop around Marina Square. It's really really BIG lor. It's been a long long time since I've been here. I remembered when I was very young. I always go there with my parents. And I would remember those long flight of stairs leading to the Main Entrance and also Those BIG PIPES sticking out from the sides, looking like a big gigantic ship facing the Singapore River.

Around 11pm, we were joined by my sister's friend, Nick. Then, we went over to 7-Eleven to grab some snacks as well as some drinks and get ready for the Countdown and Fireworks. But the 7-Eleven we visited was crowded with people. Gosh! It almost seemed like the whole shop was gonna collapsed with the amount of people in there... But the fun was yet to begin haha!!! We brought a bottle of beer, a few packets of chips, a sandwich plus a tub of Ice cream!! *Yum Yum*
Then, we took a slow walk to Esplanade. There were already tons and tons of people there, waiting for the time to strike Midnight and watch the Fireworks. Though the ground was muddy due to a heavy downpour earlier in the day, but I guess that didn't dampen anyone's spirit at all. We found an excellent spot just next to the River shore and did some outrageous things!!!

2:00AM At TM Mac, sat down for a nice, chilled cup of Milo. Imagine, we didn't sit at all after we left HANS. GOSH!
